Fallows Photography is a small photography business set by Sam de Vries in 2022.
Growing up in and around Geraldton, I have been able to experience the natural beauty of our Midwest regions coastlines and bushlands from which I draw my inspiration.
I endeavour to bring out the natural colours and features of the landscapes which I find myself in, capturing each image as a moment in time to be treasured.
My growing portfolio includes landscape photography, weddings and events, as well as event videography.
I often get questions about the origin of the name Fallows Photography. The name Fallows has heritage value being connected to my grandparents. It also speaks to the rural aspect of my work, fallow farming being a method of regenerative farming. The idea of history and rural connections can also be seen in my logo which features the outlines of a slouch hat and horse, both synonymous with Australian history.
